My K700 doesn't make the "beep" in the headset (SE orig. headset) when someone calls like it does on my T630 (and all my previous Ericsson/SE phones). Is this a bug or a setting?

Edit: It doesn't make any sound in the headset when ringning, the sound is only through the phone's speaker.

No poblem man, check this out, iy's full of uselful software, but you'll need a bluetooth dongle to achieve your task:

Soft' is called "minutenton". Youc an also check a useful software called "dateimanager", which incorporates the option if I'm not mistaken.

This site is great for any K700i user, so be sure to check it out.

Not really (i think) what i'm looking for (I'm going to check it out). I want to hear a "beep" (and ringtone) in the headset when the phone is ringing. The tone has been ther on all my Ericsson and SonyEricsson phones (R380, T39, T310, T630) and I want it on my K700 as well

yes.. i'm wondering the same thing (got same f/w also).. altough i don't use the handfree often, but when i tried it out, i hear nothing thru the earphone when it rings.. only rings on the phone itself

Ok, then it's not only a problem with my phone...
Perhaps I'm going to borrow a DSS-20 from a friend of mine so I can use the SE Update service on the net.
By the way, does anyone knows if a Tele2/Comviq branded K700 from Sweden is upgradeable?

It seems that I have to put the "headset profile" in silent mode, to make it ring...

Sadly it's not a user choice as it should be (IMHO)
