Yep, because it is beta testing
Do you know what that means? By the way, at this moment I've downloaded it: Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Symbian (Kaspersky AV is the bomb!!! I have it installed on my PC and it is super). And you can update the database via wap to
"System requirements:
Smartphones with Symbian OS 6.1 or 7.0, Series 60"

There have been so called anti-virus apps for ages and NOT free! Just tryin to rip people off by exploiting the fear of viruses!
BTW, I've not heard of any which affected UIQ yet & if they did then what's the worst u have to do? A master reset?
Beta testing means its not a final version but is like a prototype. Its free so people can try it & find what needs changing.
Beta versions usually expire after a period of time

A 'virus' for Symbian OS doesn't mean a virus for UIQ interface. The reported viruses have been for Series 60 Symbian devices like Nokias.
One was meant to be a cracked version of a mosquito shooting game but it actually caused the phone to send expensive premium rate text messages.
The scale of the problem of phone viruses is really rather small.
