i have a k500i and a file transfer cable which i got from face off mobiles, when i connect it to my pc nothing happens, i have that phone monitor thingy and my phone does not get reconsided, its not the t28 service cable and com port 1 is enabled so am really stuck for ideas.

No pm's mate. Try fma at a lower speed. And hopefully you will get it working. Are you sure it is com1?(that is usually the modem) Pls check it again. What os are you using?
