1. What type of speakers you use? (Simple desktop or some better) 2.what program do you use for music playing? 3.what sound card are u using? You can try this: control panel- sound and audio devices - speaker settings- advanced- there you choose fitting type of speakers. Then device volume- advanced, then in volume control field click advanced and in other controls disable both. This message was posted from a T610

1.) im using a laptop, it sounds that way on my laptop speakers and i plug in better speakers, they are nice Altec Lansing gaming speakers, always used to work good.
2.) ive tried windows media player, and winamp
3.) my sound card is only ESS Allegro PCi audio card...
i changed the settings... no difference... i restarted and it sounded better... then restarted later again and it messed up again... im confused...

Have you checked if computer has restored initial settings somehow? So you say no matter which program are u using it always sounds the same? What exactly is the type of distortion? Imho some sound-processor is doing this. The 'only' problem is to find out which. This message was posted from a T610
