I remember reading when the phone was announced that it would have a 240x320 screen. What happened?
Most phones used in Japan have QVGA screens so wouldnt the V802SE seem a bit crap?

No, not really. This isnt a japanese phone, why would it need to?

I thought so too. I atleast hoped the new clara would have the qvga screen. but the 262k screen is good.

I thought only smartphones needed that kind of resolution. I bet 176*220 is pretty good with 262k colors. This message was posted from a T230

Even i feel 176*220 screens for non-smart phones is largely adequate...helps keep the costs down as well since higher res apart from the obviously expensive screen require better hardware in terms of processor, ram etc. as well to give good results. Smartphones/Pdas however should have bigger/higher res screens

Exactly, nicely put Clank!

could easily make an amazing screen, but it would be a ridiculous price, which many non-rich esatonians wouldn't be able to afford

Step by step, SE now have a best screen on market so no reason going to fast, and of course qvga screen will become standard next year, and will be a standard resolution for a long time :-) This message was posted from a T610

Yup. I too think this is the next standard. And it will stand for a longer time.

Hope this "standard" will be cheap too compared to what it is now. This message was posted from a T230
