Have you tried taking the battery out and putting it back again? If it won't start up that way, i'm afraid you'd have to take it to an SE service centre. Welcome to Esato!

ok....lets zero in on this. is there anything more you can share us, like, did you install any applications, etc.....
basically, if you can't get it to react to the jogdial routine (up, *, down, down, *, down), im afraid its off to the service center.

I had some messages coming up saying that my memory was full but otherwise nothing ,iv have tried removing da battery a few times but nothing happens.iv also tried the reset wid the jog dial but it just wont work, maybe i should give it in to be repaired........................
But the people from sony ericsson are just going to press a secret button we dont know about and are going to charge 100s
i supose thats life!!!!!!!!

Don't worry, if its gonna make you feel a little better, there ain't any "secret buttons" that have not been discovered by the most members here as far as I know.
For as long as the suggestions mentioned in this thread do not work, it really is meant to be off to SE.

There have been several cases here where the phone prompted that it didnt have enough memory and then it turned off. When you tried to switch it on nothing would happen. This occured more often on the older firmware versions of the P800 r1b or r1d i believe. Not sure though. There is nothing you could do except return it to the service center.
