We should convince the programmers to make Skype for P800/P900/P910i! That would make calling cheaper...

not sure if GPRS is high enough bandwidth to effectively support Voice Over IP. Also, might not actually be cheaper, because data plans can be pretty costly as well.

skype is only for wi-fi
but will work over bluetooth with pc connection too.... i tested skype on a pda with wi-fi and i wasnt very happy with the voice quality...

Well, not perfect, but good enough.
I used skype on my laptop using GPRS connection. I heard the other party very clearly, but he had problem hearing me. But still, he could hear me. I think the phone was using the 3+2 gprs slot combination, which means 3 slot for downlink, 2 for uplink.

Skype sounds bad on handhelds with wi-fi, so I believe that it would sound terrible on GPRS.

I've used skype and Remote desktop on vodafone gprs on my laptop and it works fine.
