For mp3 ringtones of songs go to http://www.walmart.com and head for the music section.
They have many many albums for sale and provide a free 30 second mp3 sample of every song on it!!! So free mp3 ringtone of any song you wasnt!

The files from walmart are all:
Type- mp3
Length- 30sec
Size- 236kb
Bitrate- 64kbps
Freq- 24000Hz
Channels- 2 (Joint-Stereo)
And they sound pretty good for ringtones
