Probably it's an image of an audio-cd.
Get a virtual drive like "daemon-tools", mount the .bin
and use your favourite CD-Ripper to rip it off.
Or if you only want a specific sound of the bin, play it in
winamp and use the WAVE-Output instead of the directsound.
After that, convert the .wav to mp3 or ogg.
Hope this was kinda helpful.

Go Here and get Alcohol 120% (trial version, but it'll do for now).

Now install it and run it. Tell it to search for Image files wherever you have the .bin stored. Now, ad that file (once it's found) to Alcohol, and "mount on disk". You can now use it exactly as if it were a music CD. Which it is really. And you can use alcohol's built in burning facility to burn it to CD, exactly as if you had the original copy.

Hope that helps .

Oh yeah, you could also use Daemon Tools but I use alcohol, so meh.

@ Nay, These files are usually used for image burning and are accompanied by a cue file. However, I havent tried this myself, but someone on another forum had this problem, and claimed they resolved it by changing the file extention to mp3.

Ha! I very much doubt that works.

I didn't think it would either, as it would be like changing a .mpg to .avi and trying to play it in smartmovie, but someone claimed it did for them, so I thought I would just mention it.

windows is pretty decent about playing songs with incorrect file types, so if he changed it to mp3 windows would probably still play it if it played before. Doesn't mean it became an mp3 though.

Some programs give mp3 file different extension. In my case winamp wouldn't play .jc! and some other extensions, but after renaming it did. You could make a backup folder, change copies of files to .mp3 and try if it works. It doesn't cost you anything. This message was posted from a T610

The image file can simply be extracted through one of several programs like "Winimage". These programs have the capability of extracting the content within these image files without the need of the associating cue file.

As to the other file associations I believe .jc! is an extension some downloading programs like "Flashget" uses to temporarily store the file. Not sure what it would be playable through if it can be at all.. Maybe something like VLC player. Other then that I would suggest simply extracting the .bin file through the software that I listed.

of course it does not work just by changing extension!
VLC player does play the song. but my main criteria was to play it on P910, for which i needed to convert that. It is quite annoyinh why would a site have a .BIN music file available for download even when it is the same size as a normal MP3
