I'm curious to know a bit more about how the credit system works on tools like SETOOL etc.
Why do credits exist ? Why are flash upgrades not made free ?
Is it because the sites pay Sony Ericsson to get hold of the firmware upgrades as they are made available or for other reasons??

None of those services has anything to do with SE.
They develop methods to bypass SE's protections.
It takes a lot of time and money to do this such of things, and of course the people behind wants to make some money out of it.
