Bookmark topic
Hi
I've just tried to send a text message to a friend and it came up with the error message barred. I can no longer ring, text or surf WAP.
Has anyone else had this problem? What's going on?? I've contacted O2 but no answer as yet!!
I've got a k700i contact phone.
cheers
I'm currently using my phone as a paperweight as I can't do F%$k all with it!!! :-[

yeah think so, I'll have to check!:-(
is that the reason? O2 seem to charge their bill at random dates each month!

If they can't take the money out of your account they'll block you, but you'd typically get a pre recorded voice message telling you to contact this and this number if that is the case (yeah i have experience on a friends contract O2 UK phone

Just checked with my bank and my wages haven't gone in yet so think it's a bill problem!
Will they allow me to send them the money when I get paid or will they not allow me to make calls until next months bill clears?
might just get an o2 sim card and stick it in my phone, will that work?

yeah I'm starting to think that way now! When my contract ends will I be able to keep the phone as my own or do I have to keep paying monthly? Can I just stick a pay and go sim in it when the contract is up? O2 are charging me a fortune, I might try and swap my tariff...can I do that to get a cheaper bill each month?

Once the contract's up the phone is yours to do with as you please - in fact you can do what you want with it before it's up I believe! I got a samsung E330 when I renewed my contract at the end of last year, I've already sold it on!
You could in theory put any sim in the phone now and use it, although of course you will still have to pay the contract until the minimum period is up, or pay a (usually large) 'buy out' fee to cancel the contract.

so I can just buy a pay and go sim now and put it in, do i need to register it to a different name? That will keep my contract bill down until the contract is up then I can just keep the phone and go back to payandgo! I thought contract would be cheaper but it's costing me so much each month I really need to save some money!
I use my phone a lot for downloading from wap so they seem to charge the earth for that so I think I'll invest in a sync station and download my tones, games, etc from my pc!

get a sync station
there is loads of stuff you can dowload for free
no need to use wap for it
i hate contracts, got one in november and i dont use the sim anymore, got myself a genie sim now instead (doesnt cost me anything now)
cant wait for november so i can cancel my contract - costs me £30 a month
oh yeah just get a pay and go simcard (genie one then u will have 300 txts a month

)
