Having a bit of trouble I've never experienced with my camera

I took 40 pictures and everything was going good. Got home and put them in my memory card reader (some cheap thing called dazzle) and it froze, so I shut off my pc and tryed again, same result.

I put the stick back in my camera and I got an error "Format Error C:13:01" and I can't view any of the pictures or take anymore

It's a 128MB Sony Memory Stick.

I've never had a probem with it before untill now. However, last week I took some pictures into Walgreens to get them printed out, and it wasn't viewing them in the computer. So I gave them to the clerk girl and she had to do something with it before she found them.

I've looked on google and in the manual, and the only things I've found was "take it out and re-insert it" and "format"

I don't want to lose the pictures that are on here. Someone said it may be something with the reader and is like $50.00 to be repaired.

i really do not want to reformat... the pics are really important... can anyone please help???? here is the site for my car reader... http://www.ziocorp.com/products/msreader.html and i am running windows ME... please help...
