Dear fellows!
How much battery life can I expect from an R520/BUS11 (ultra slim battery) combination with the following settings:
Display light: Automatic
Display sleep: On
Bluetooth: Off
Infrared port: Off
Vibrating alert: On
GPRS: On

Currently I can use it for about three or four days with one charge, but it's much less than a promised 300 hours standby time. OK, it's for standby only, but I think I could expect the half of it at least.

Thank you!

If you turn off GPRS your battery should last longer.
My phone shows around 250-260 hours stand by when charged, and I don't charge it more than once a week. (But I don't talk a lot either).K.A.

kristaga is right! if you won't be using your gprs access taht much, use gsm access only to save up on battery.

either way... mine's always on gprs, i still get 3-4 days. don't pay attention to the smart battery indicator, it's usually off the scale.

ciao.

Depends how much you use it... I used to get 6-7 days from my R520... 3-4 when I didn't use my Display Sleep.

Thank you guys for the fast replies.
Since I cannot assign GPRS to a profile, I will put it into the user menu.

yup, mine is also in the 250 hrs range when fully charged. Mine is about 3-4 days when used in moderation. But a lot less when using WAP, games, talk time, or anything that requires the backlight. Did you guys ever realize that if you use a darker-colored theme (e.g. black) this can actually save you battery consumption because it requires less light?

I thought it was opposite, that bright or white colours would use less energy because of less contrast from no colour. Doesn't the light in the phone originate from a light diode somewhere inside the phone?Hmmmm, was it possible to understand my meaning here?K.A.
