Seeing the the V800/Z800 has TrueUSB(usb2) would that mean that the transfer speed is astronomical? Im not a wizard in these matters but isn't that the same as the ipods usb 2.0? which can transfer at somthing liek 100mbps

Sounds like USB 1, with has a peak thruput of about 12Mbps. USB 2 is comparable to firewire, at 400+ Mbps.

Don't forget that the memorycard has a speed limitation too, don't know about the pro duo, but the pro has 160mbit max.

@mani99 - you are 100% correct. Via usb my 128 MS does about 160 - 200 kbs which equates to the speed of a floppy disk, remember those? :-D

V800 has USB 1.1 not 2.0...if you have a large memory stick, just buy a USB 2.0 memory card reader. I copied 6Megs in 3-4 seconds!
