> Unbranded V800 WAP Browser
Bookmark topic
I have an unbranded V800 and it seems that I am no longer able to access the content services provided by the likes of Vodafone Live etc. Going to wap.vodafone.co.uk just goes to the most basic of wap pages. Same thing happens with Orange's wap site.
Is there any way to get around this as it's a shame to not be able to access the free content that vodafone are providing to new subscribers.
Thanks.

Think this will be down to the fact that both of them wap sites is using browser detection. After flashing the V800 the phone is shown as no_name, so the sites don't think it can show pics.
There is a fix that might work, there is a script that can be flashed to the phone from the setool website. This will change the name to Z800. Might help?

Im thinking about asking that too. I tried to access those sites from my samsung x100 but only can get to the text site. Is there a url that goes "in" to the site or something?

Guys before you go messing around with SE Tool again and using a credit...
Have you tried getting the new WAP settings sent to u from Vodafones website? Your wap settings (APN etc.) need to be created first before you can access wap pages again after de-branding!

I've got the settings sent from both vodafone and orange's websites. The Vodafone Live wapsite that I get sent to doesn't even show basic pictures, it's just text only.
