> 02 custom FW on s700i = Upgrade problems?

im finally geting my phone from 02 after they have 'sorted out' there txt messaging problems! Now my concern is this:
if 02 have put an even more customised version of the FW on the phone, not just normal icons, tones etc....., but so that the phone will work with their network (i.e. changed the messaging software of the FW so its compatible with 02 txt messaging system), im guessing i'll only be able to upgrade through the SE website to 'retain' the customised 02 software?
If i put a non-customised FW on the phone, im guessing the txt messaing problems would come back?
when i get the phone, how do i check the FW number etc and what do i look for to see if it is customised for txt messaging? What are everyone elses FWs?
I'll let you all know the FW when i get the phone nxt week.
