Hi,
I tried searching but found nothing relevant, i.e. what kind of hardware/cable or software to use to backup SMS onto PC. If there's a post about this already, can someone be kind enough to forward me the URL?

So the question is what do I need to backup my SMS and address book onto PC?

I hope I don't get flamed. Noob here. Thanks in advance.

FMA is a mobile agent software, which helps connect your PC with your phone using either BT, IR or cable. BT is the best way imo, as its faster & easier. All you need is a BT dongle and the FMA software installed on your PC . For more detailed info on this go to the fMA discussion thread
Heres the link to the thread..

Great!!
Thanks for the replies guys! Going to buy the BT dongle now.

Just one more question though, is there any way that I can allocate more disk space to SMS on the K700i? I used to have Nokia 3650, the SMS inbox just kept expanding according to my need as long as I have the free memory to accomodate extra SMSes.

No, there's no way to do that unfortunately. You have to delete some when it gets to about 100 between all message folders.
