Have just got a K700i and having problems with photo contacts. The software is R2aa...the one before the newest one! What I am finding is that sometimes when I call out or recieve a call or text the contact photo does not show up, just the name of the person or sometimes just the number....I have tried to determine a pattern to this but it just seems random...sometimes it happens that if the person has two numbers stored on thier contact that one works and the other doesnt. When I go into view and edit and check the picture it is always still there...very strange. However, i have noticed that if I then re save the contact it seems to work o.k again. Can anyone advise me on a fix or work round for this as it is really annoying me....am very tempted to ditch the phone because of this...HELP!!
edit....Sorry forgot to say phone is GSM non branded.

R2aa has been called back by SE. Get the latest R2ae.

Upgrade to R2AE. That should do the job. This message was posted from a T230

@all

This has nothing to do with the R2AA firmware. No need to update your firmware if this is your only problem.

Fix: Those contacts that behave strange, delete them and re-enter them and assign the picture and everything will work fine in the future. I have written about this problem before - a search would have given you the answer

People tend to scream "UPDATE YOUR FIRMWARE" at this site rather than actually trying to solve peoples problem!

Thanks will try this fix as want to give phone a chance! Have looked at thread and have now took the decision to delete my phone book and to re enter all contacts but to save and come out of the phone book after every info or number entry. I did notice I was having a problem with an entry that only had one number allocated.....is it correct then that if you add 2 or more numbers to 1 contact without following the individual number save procedure then this can knacker up the whole phonebook? Really hope this works...thanks all!

@afov

You did search

Yes, when saving two numbers, first enter one of them and hit save. Leave the phonebook. Then go back to the phonebook and enter the second number. This is the best solution for now.

Good luck!

yup. this will work... but since it is a fw called back by SE, it is always advisable to upgrade it.... that would do him better in the long run and also solve his problem.... get it... if ppl are on r2ae... the advice given would have been different...
