I see that the Update Service for V800 is available. Does anyone know which firmware it will give ?

Second Q: Is it possible to use the T28s Data Cable with SEUS, or are the DSS-20 / DSS-25 desktop stands the only option ?

If you check the link, you'll see that for V800 it specifies the USB cable.

I assume this is the cable that was supplied with the phone, but having that said I've heard it's not all that easy to make it work... (apparently it requires MPM to be off on your PC but I've no idea how to even switch it off )

Thanks, only looked at the FAQ, didn't try to run through the update steps. The FAQ looks to be ripped straight from P9xx, which lists DSS-20 / DSS-25 as requirement. Sloppy work from SE.

well I hope to try it when I have broadband again.. I've only briefly glanced at it sofar but I've not heard anybody who has succesfully updated a V800 online....

Exactly...it took a while to understand that you have to install that driver and then proceed with the update...but it works and it's quick to do...

i try to update and its not working after i fill the all boxs and click next its jumping to a white screen and nothing hppen why?

that's the moment when the java applet is launched and "sonyericsson service client" starts...
the download and installation of that client should start by itself...so check if you have security features activated in explorer.

I did the update and it worked...
