Hi guys
i am just wonderin if any airtel user could advise me on the bandwidth u get usin airtel mobile office.Im planning to shift from hutch solely for this purpose.Hutch world in bangalore is useless.Any body out there?

Hi dude! I'm on Airtel. I am a mobile office subscriber too. But i haven't tried finding out what speeds i get. But i can say, a normal gprs connection is comparable to a 56k dialup connection. But, if you use an EDGE enabled handset, you should be able to attain broadband speeds of upto 384 kbps albeit theoretically! This message was posted from a T230

Thats cool..But i dont understand why its being charged under diff slabs for diff zones. I would say 56k is good enough.I was planning to use it for voip.Dunno how far this would work out.
The best thing i heard about airtel was that u could use gprs while roamin at no extra cost.Hutch stands a sucker here.

Thats true gprs is free at no extra cost in roaming on airtel. And for me in the maharashtra circle, the mothsly gprs rental is 150 bucks. Same charge for EDGE too! This message was posted from a T230
