Hi!
I successfully flashed my v800 with a new software version with davinciteam and a DSS-25. But I wasn't really happy with the new software - I realzed to late that it didn't support german...
I realized that the davinci client recognizes the phone as v800/z1010 and so I thought I might take the risk and flash a z1010 software to the v800... I was pretty sure that wouldn't work correctly, but it came out bader than I thougth
After flashing it without any problems, the phone wouldn't turn on at all. The background light would turn on and switch of at once as soon as you no longer press the power button.
But the phone is still recognized by davinci and can be reflashed - but strange enough, not with every software. Some softwares create a 'block not accepted' error after the first block.
finalization doesn't work either, same error message (block not accepted).
Now I'm trying the 'repair gdfs' option under 'unlock' and
I get:
Block:0 variable: 00 - writing error!
...
Block:0 variable: FF - writing error!
...
Block:1 variable: FF - writing error!
...
and so on... I think I'll stop it soon
with some variables, no error was printed.
Does anybody have an idea how I could save that phone?
I have ordered setool2 standalone and twister flasher (before I killed the phone
) but it can takes some days until I get it...

First thing, phone is not dead. only possible to kill a phone with hammer or car etc.
Setool can fix your problem, basically i believe the EROM in that phone has been erased and a certificate left. This erom needs to be put back.
I am not sure if Davinci have the erom though.

I have no idea what you mean by erom and by certificate in that case...

I'd love to use setool, but I dont' have the cable you need for that... but as I said, I have ordered setool2 standalone and the twister flasher, so I should be able to get the phone back up that way I guess... well, I hoped I could do it before, but I already bought a Moto v3 razr as a spare phone in the meantime... (they don't have official firmware upgrades, do they? (well, that's offtopic here
))
Thanks for your help - is there any doc about the way the SE phones are 'built', how the flashing works and so on?

SEUS for the V800 doesn't work with the DSS-25, right? only with the usb cable.. and the phone isn't recognized via the usb cable anymore... if there were a way to use the DSS-25...
By the way, if I have the 'geeks' here... Is it possible that the battery isn't charged correctly anymore when the firmware is 'dead'? sometimes I get a red LED when I charge it, sometimes the phone switches just on and the LED stays of... I think it gets charged, but only a little, as I think after a night of charging I can only flash 1 or 2 times and then I get errors during flash.. ( I tried a lot
)

Please remove the battery from the phone until you have setool. It is 100% Erom trouble. Hopefull there is enough charge in the battery to flash it otherwise you need t find away of charging it
I very much doubt it will charge in that phone now.
