I have upgrade my T68m to an the mi software. All works fine apart from when i sned an animated gif to the phone. it recieves it fine however it does not display it on the phone. i have tried sending it from an iPaq, my PC with an infra red port. Both times the same thing happens, image is sent, name shows up but no animated gif. Is there any special, way of sending it or do u need any software?
Cheers

I had the same problem before. check how many kb the animated gif is in your computer and compare it with the gif you received. If the phone is lesser, then you might just be sending the first frame. Try a later version of your graphics software, maybe it'll work.

I usually download 'em via wap, works perfectly...
but do you have enough memory available? mine also won't display animated gifs sometimes, but when I free some memory it works again...

Hi,
once you have sent the animated gif to your phone, you need to wait for a little while for it to appear. In its place, you will see a white box with no content if you click on it. Leave the phone alone for about a few minutes and the animated gif will appear.
This is due to a slow processor in my T68 phones...

The reason it takes a while to show is that the phone creates individual frames (it presumably can't decode an animation in real time). This also means that a 20-30k animation can end up taking 50, 60, 70k + - and fill up the phone in no time!

how long do you have to wait? cos it seems to take ages. however when my mate sent me the bouncing SE symbol, it took no time at all
