The V800 should come with a CD, say if i bought the phone from a person who had lost the CD, is it possible to get a replacement one/download the software from the SE site?

yes u can download the software from the support section on SE's site and yes u an get the faceplates direct from SE although they recommend gettin their engineers to install them on the fone.
