hi,is it possible to send mp3's and video clips from your computer to the K500i using ir or do you have to invest in a cable. What kind of software would you have to download to your comp inorder to transfer the files.

Yes it is possible to transfer files by IR via an IR-adapter for the PC.
This should come with the necessary software & u'll be able to right-click on an item & choose Send As > IR
