> converting to 3gp without software?

im not very smart when it comes to phones, so try and make this sound quite simple.
How do i get clips (eg a clip on 'marge simpson vs the monorail where the popcorn van crashes into the pothole..hilarious) onto my phone? can i do this without software? and if i need software, where can i get it , is it safe and how much memory does it take?
p.s this is gonna make me sound SO dumb but il'll learn , what is firmware?
im using k700i btw rock on k700i!

You do need software to convert the video to 3gp or mp4 (assuming u already have it in a digital format).
The software is for your computer & there are many converters available, I'm sure a google search will reveal some.
Firmware is the software which the phone runs on. Kind of like how a PC runs on windows.
Firmware update will fix bugs or add features.
I'm sure there is a better explanation in the FAQ
