How do you know how much you get charged using GPRS internet when checking the data sent and data recieved counters? I get charged 200c (2 Rand) per MB.

I don't get charged depending on the total data I've transferred- i pay a fixed rental of 150 rupees a month (thats just about 3 us dollars) for unlimited internet access with EDGE!

Yeah. But its hard to imagine this is the same place where call and data charges were one of the most expensive in the world just a few years ago! But that was then! Today, due to stiff competition- call rates have dropped to unbelievable levels.

Call charges are not problem here. 45 percents of my bill goes for gprs, the same for sms and 10 for calls.

Australian telco's suck. We pay heaps, and its based on traffic. 2c/kbyte, what a ripoff! I pay $40 for a 10mb gprs plan.
