Hi,

I bought my K500i from an O2 Store sometime in November last year. I originally had a problem with the screen (there was a dead-pixel on the screen which didn't show any colours). Now i've got another problem, the Joystick keeps playing up! Sometimes it'll let me go right, sometimes it won't. At the moment i cant get into the menu cuz it won't respond when i push it down! Argh!

Will O2 still exchange it or even fix the problem free of charge even though i bought my K500i about 3-4 months ago?

Looks like its a case of dust being trapped in the crevices near the joystick. Take it to the service centre and they should do the job for you without charge. This message was posted from a T230

Interesting...

I've taken the front case off (don't tell O2!!!) and taken a look at the Joystick. I took the plastic Joystick controller part off to reveal the internal metal stick and blew on it a couple of times. Didn't do n e thing. Du think i shud hoover the thing...?

Use a hair dryer or your mouth :-D lol to blow away the dust and put the cover back on. See if it works. If not take it to SE. This message was posted from a T230

As long as the phone isn't modified it should still be under warranty then you're free to get any replacements like that.
