i want to buy a s700i, i have a p910 and had a great signal in areas without good coverage, but my k700 is even better. I want to know if the s700 is the same or better than k700 or p910 in signal reception. Is very important to me, i live in a low signal area. Thanks

I havent used a K700 so cant respond there but my S700i has better reception than my P910i and better than my old T610 easily. It seems to hold signal very well.

i've had a k700 before i got the s700. i can say that the reception is the same more or less for both models. one thing i noticed though is that in places with no or low signal, i just opened the s700 and waited for 2-3 secs and it would actually pick a line or two! go for the s700

The S700/K700/K500 have significantly better reception than previous SE phones, including the Pxxx series. (I have had a t68/T600/T300/P800, now a s700)

Its not just in the signal bars though (even though the way the signal bar shows signal on the S700 coverage has somewhat changed to be more like a nokia)

As for the difference between the K700 and the S700, i think that the S700 can have slightly better reception. I think its somethign to do with that big metal ring around the camera lens. But in very marginal areas, the S700 gives a slightly better pickup than the K700. The p800 woudl struggle to get a signal, and the T610 would not even attempt to lock on.

I have had the S700 pick up a call on the Jubilee Line platform at the bottom of Canada Waters Station on the London Underground (though it died the moment the train left the station and into the tunnel!).

Also on the train journey home, I go through a tunnel just before Willesden Junction. All phones I have had in the past woudl loos the signal at that point (including nokias). But the S700 keeps on going gamely.

So i think its fair to say the S700 IS significantly better than the
