Where to Get Spectrum Programs and games for free :
Almost every program ever released for the Spectrum is available somewhere on the internet, or on CD. We recommend you start on the
http://www.worldofspectrum.org archive. This has a large selection of programs in TAP and Z80 formats, and lists of popular programs.
List of same of my favourite Spectrum games :
1942, Bomb Jack, Barbarian, Cyclone, Enduro Racer, Fire Lord, Flying Shark, Fred, Grand National, Great Escape, Green Beret, Hydrofool, Ms. Pacman, Navy Seals, Operation Wolf, Out Run, Renegade, Saboteur, Scuba Dive, Sir Fred, Trash Man, Untouchables, Zulu Wars

It was only to update the information !
I was 15 yrs old at the time and Spectrum was for me the same as SE P800 is in our days.
The new generations should try games like this :
1942, Bomb Jack, Barbarian, Cyclone, Enduro Racer, Fire Lord, Flying Shark, Fred, Grand National, Great Escape, Green Beret, Hydrofool, Ms. Pacman, Navy Seals, Operation Wolf, Out Run, Renegade, Saboteur, Scuba Dive, Sir Fred, Trash Man, Untouchables, Zulu Wars.
Same of this games are better than actual games made for Smartphones.

All the ones mentioned I remeber fondly but some of the more oscure ones I enjoyed.
Return of the Ants (or Ant Attack) can't remember name now.
Bugaboo the flee!
The Doomdark games (ie First person RPG/Strategy)
I think they were Speccy games anyway!!!
