Ok, go and create a new SMS
Enter the following smiley using the "spell word" function ":-p". Make sure you omit the quotation marks.

If it didn't crash there, start a new text message and enter the smiley (make sure predict is on). For some reason even though the phone has predicted the smiley we want, you still get the spell word function in the corner. Click it. Now click ok once in the spell word screen.
Voila!
Phone resets and goes batty!

It seems this only affects certain firmware, so if the bug does occur or not on your phone, please post your firmware version.

I've experienced this with the :-D and |-l smilies after entering them in the t9 dictionary.... a master reset solved the problem for me then, but now its come back again.... i dont know why...

btw i'm using a k700 with R2L

My S700i with R2B firmware crashed at the second step, pressing ok after the spell word function.

The screen went haywire, faded out slowly, vibrated once, screen came back, faded out again.

Doesn't look like a bug...more like an easter egg perhaps? Especially with the smiley face...

I tried to type that but after two strokes on the 1-button it starts a new word.
