> Should I still get the S700?
Bookmark topic
Hi everyone. my first post in an excellent forum and site!
I just wanted people's opinions on whether it is 'too late' to get the S700? My contract (Voda UK) is just about finished, and I was planning on the S700. But the recent spate of new SE announcements has made me wonder if I should wait a while.
I don't like normal 'block' phones, and prefer something a little different (flip/clamshell etc). I like the look of the S700 but would be a little annoyed if I got it, then 2days later SE released a new clamshell. Anyone know if this is in the pipeline?
Also, I read the S700 bugs thread on esato, but it is difficult to determine if it is a big problem, or just a few people with it who happen to congregate here. How is the general usability of the phone? Does anyone find it a bit big or awkward with the swivel etc?
I'm just looking for any opinions on the phone and my purchase really
Thanks all,
Jason.
p.s - Just to add my current baby is a Z600!

Did you see the K750? I would recommend you that one! The S700 still is a good phone though. Also the walkman phone. Check them out!

I would get one if you get the chance. It is a very good phone. The screen is amazing. The only reason I sold mine (today) was that I got a P910i so no longer needed the S700i. The only thing that I would recomend is that you stay away from Vodafone branded handsets. They are really badly branded and have some parts disabled. Get an unbranded version.

Ive had the S700i since October. O2 unbranded/unlocked.
I have had no problems with the phone or memory stick whatsoever (lucky me!),and still find it a joy to use, so I would heartily recommend it if it does all that you want in one device.
Look at all the specs before making your final choice!

Yes if you find a cheap one I would recommend it.. just the screen alone makes it a great buy.
I would really want the specs in K750 in my S700..
The S700 is not big at all and I like the swivel design, it make very nice pics and playing fullscreen games are a joy... best phone I have tried actually.
