What type of cable are you using and have you tried perhaps a different edition of the firmware (eg EU2 instead of EU3 if the languages included aren't an issue)?

Also,Have you also tried changing settings like transfer speed and DTR and RTS options?

Davinci can be a bit tempromental and tends not to flash your phone first time around. First time took me 2 attempts and second time took me about 3-4 attempts before I had a working phone again.

Am using the DSS-25. Have left the COM settings in hardware as default, not sure if they need changing.

Have selected DSS7 from the list and tried using 115200 with both RTS and DTR ticked, have also tried 57600 with both ticked, have also tried EU2, EU3 and the free recovery one.

Should I try without RTS and DTR?

Have so far tried about 6 times even with reboots, can't even charge the battery cos phone is dead!! It was fully charged but how long can it go before I lose everything?

Thanks
Steve

There's no harm in doing it with either RTS or DTR unchecked or both. Make sure you're also pulling your battery out between bad attempts for restarting.

Did all you mentioned but stiil failed.
Eventually I ditched using my home PC (XPSP2) and loaded it all onto my laptop XPSP1 and all worked first time no trouble!!!

God knows what that was all about, think I will use the SEUS site in future cos it all worked using that last time.

Thanks

At what point did you recieve that message? While flashing main fw or FS part?

Try to flash another/different FS file, if that does not work, possiblity you have dead flash chip.........but maybe not
