> Help New User for SE P910i
Bookmark topic
Hi everyone,
I hop I am doing this right. I am a newbie so please forgive me if I have posted this in the wrong location.
I just received the SE 910i and been playing with it. It can be quite complicated if you ask me. The last SE phone I had was the T68i so excuse my ignorance.
My last phone was a PalmOne Treo600...two different animals!
Anyways, what I'd like to know is the following.
If I'm not mistaken, I can use MP3s as my ringtones.
How do I donwload MP3s to the P910i? I have a few MP3s which I have edited to become ringtones but for the life of me I don't know how to add them to the phone.
Can someone please help me?
Thanks in advance.

H, You can send them via BLUETOOTH or IR from your PC. You can aslo use Epocware file manager.

More specifically, you can do the following procedure:
1. Make a connection (IR, Bluetooth, or for faster transfers, use a card reader if you will be putting the files into the MSDuo).
2. Beam (or drag and drop if card reader). If it is beamed, look it up in the Messages folder (under beamed). If it is drag and dropped, drop it into the unfiled folder under Audio of the drive your MSDuo is in.
3. For beamed transfers, open the file and choose the save option. You will then be prompted to choose the folder you want it in (internal or MSDuo).
Now once you got this done, you can readily proceed to choosing any of your mp3 files to serve as ringtones/sms tones...
Have fun!

Ok so I guess this is not as hard as I thought it would be.
I downloaded the ringtone via my multimedia slots in my computer and it worked!
I also did pics and movies...now I need more space.
SD cards don't work on this phone (dang, and I have two 512MG SD cards). Oh well, I might find some reasonable ones on ebay.
Thanks for the help Wapt.

Ooh...I was replying when you posted Redstar.
I do have a card reader...actually cards reader...it's infiltrated on my PC (Gateway 610S). This baby can read 7 different Cards/Media.
I'm beginning to like this phone better now.
The resolution is much much better than my old Treo600.
But the Treo600 was more user friendly.
Ok...back to playing with the P910i.
Y'all be hearing from me again soon
Thanks for the help.
