i wish to have a laptop. could u pls supprt me me with some ideas, help and suggestions. i need dvd and cd burn feature, nice display, windows xp on it, mainly the standard things. if u have one to sell or u know a place with good prices, pls post it here. it can be a used one aswell, mainly from a member here and if its possible, warranty. i am not an expert in this pc, laptop actions, so pls help me if it is. tia for any response

I have just ordered a Sony Vaio from dabs.

Seems to have everything I want, including a dual layer dvd writer which is not bad for the price. This model has just launched. Costs £1000 from sonystyle.

Will let you know what it's like once I receive it.

Boba, I think an IBM T30 or a Compaq N610c can be a choice if you can find around. They are still reliable though a bit out of date, and the price can be under your budget. This message was posted from a R520
