> V800 battery problem

Hi, i've had my v800 for about 2 weeks now. This one is a replacement because the camera was faulty on the first one they sent out.
Theres a problem with the phone where if i leave it on overnight and even if its got full battery life, SOMETIMES i wake up and its turned off because theres no battery left. But this doesn't happen everynight. And it also doesnt happen during the day.
This also happened once to the first v800 i had, so its not specific to this handset.
Anybody have any ideas about this? Is it faulty? The only thing i can think of is something is running on the phone to discharge the battery, but as far as i can see no programs were running, and i'd also set everything to powersave once and it still did it.
Because i'm on the edge of a 3G area, its constantly swapping between 2g and 3g, which i thought might run it down, but this happens duing the day as well with no battery rundown..
I've flashed the phone with SEUS to R1J002, but it still happened.
Can anyone help me!!

I had this problem with my K700 after updating it to R2AE. It would just lock on a blank white screen until the battery ran dead or was removed. It was so annoying so I tried flashing the phone again and got the same. In the end, a couple of users here pointed the crashing could be down to the SIM card. Well on the weekend my phone happened to stop booting up all together, I tried a friend's SIM card and it worked fine. I registered a brand new SIM and it's been running absolutely fine since.
It's worth trying if you have a SIM card with worn contacts. Mine was only a year old but ended up getting worn out being taken in and out of other people's phones to test them (I work in a shop that sells phones). Still works absolutely fine in my old Panasonic, just not any SE's I've had.

Thanks for the reply, thats something to think about. However, the simcard is only 2 weeks old like the phone. I wonder if it is locking up and the screen staying on. I'll have to check to make sure its gone dark every night to test.

Well, if the SIM card was provided with the phone then it's more unlikely it's the SIM but how the battery is suddenly flat could still be a crashing phone and the backlight appears on. Mine tended to do it usually after the phone had been standing for quite a while. Hardly ever did it during the day because it was getting some use but I'd woken up a couple of times at night and noticed a bright light in my room and then noticed it coming from my phone before I posted about it on here.
I say try taking it to a SE service center and get it reflashed for free to iron out bugs otherwise get it replaced.
