Does anyone here know why only some SE model phones have access to the online update service and not the rest? I know P900, 910I and K700 have access to this and so does Nokia 7610.
Although some have said only Symbian and smartphones have access to it but then K700i isnt a smartphone or symbian, is it?
Shouldnt all phones have access to online update?
2. Are the online updates only for 1 year just like getting firmware updates done from service centres?

it's a decision they have made only to allow certain phones, but we will probably see more models beeing available in the future... you can use the online update service as long as your phone is working

I do know that you can get your se phone re flashed with new firmware at a service centre as long as your handset is within the 12 month warranty. But im still able to update my p900 via seus after a year. Even though there have been no further updates for mine for a while now.
I wish i could say the same for my z1010! Even though i have the r1k 010 Eur_3 version, orange dont authorise the use of that service with my handset. They did with my p900, so i dont see what the big deal is!
