Hey, I just ordered a new laptop and have some questions for you guys.

1) I'm thinking of buying Roxio Easy CD and DVD Creator for burning movies etc. Is this the best software out there or is there something better?

2) For Ripping DVDs, whats the best software/method?

3) I have a TV Tuner on my laptop, whats a good software to make TV rips/Capture TV?

4) I'm looking for a backpack and/or messenger bag for my laptop. It has a 17" display, so take into account it's quite big. Any suggestions?

5) Voodoo has a software called "Game Doctor" which does the following:
Quote:Voodoo GameDoctor is the ultimate tool for your VoodooPC. Forget about searching for game patches all the time - and waiting in line to download them. Voodoo GameDoctor takes the guesswork away and allows you to keep all your games up to date without even thinking about it. This is an absolute must if you are a gamer - and if you're not a gamer, you can use the other unique features of GameDoctor as well.

Is there any other software that does that can more or less do the same?

6) Antivirus/Firewall/Anti-Spyware

I opted for McAffee 2005 (don't really care about the $), was this a good choice? For firewall I plan on using the built-in SP2 firewall, and for the spyware, I usually use a combo of Spy Sweeper, AdAware, and Spybot. But, I don't want to create a lot of bloat on this machine, so is there one that beats them all?

7) A Wifi Locater

From what I here, there aren't any good ones out there? Any of you have something to suggest to prove otherwise?

LASTLY....

A La Z Boy Recliner! Find me the perfect chair to waste away my days on the computer with :D. (I'm currently looking at the LaZBoy Oasis/Coolchair)

Thanks all!

Roxio is good but I prefer nero burning rom. They are very similar, you can try them both and see which suits you better. You should get software for recording tv programme along with your tv card. This message was posted from a T610

Alternatively, you could learn to read long strings of words... or perhaps take Riddilin for a longer attention span .
