SonyEricsson has choosen to discontinue the Z700! According to mobil.nu (swedish mobile site) SE decided to discontinue the Z700 two weeks ago, in favor for the T300. The reason is that the price of the Z700 would be too high for target group. All this is according to Peter Bodor of SE.

I just got one of these, a prototype. However, the screen backlight does not work. Anyone any ideas how I might fix or replace it?

What do you mean by "in favor for the T300"?
What target group was this phone for?
And how is the Z700 prototype, is it good better than Z600?

You are asking questions to a post made 2 years ago. There are no Z700 (never made it to the factory).
