> BlackBerry Instant Email on P910x - Working!

Well, I finally provisioned BlackBerry (BB) Instant Email correctly on my P910i to allow push email from the BB Web Client. It took a bit to get it working, but nonetheless I think I'm all good. For those of you that don't know the primary purpose or gain in this here's the low down. I'm basically getting all my personal POP3 email addresses that I normally have downloaded to my PC's Outlook program "pushed" (kinda like redirected/carbon copied) to my phone. All the emails from these accounts are gathered from their respective servers then 'pushed' to a single email account that I created on the BB Web Client website. So when the Web Client searches for new email from the respective POP3 accounts (ie Yahoo, Gmail, etc..) it downloads them to my Web Client inbox and to my phone at the same time. The neat thing is that I get a notification popup as soon as it does. That's it in a nutshell. This is my first experience with BB technology. I'm not familiar with the intricacies of it as some of the members on this board are or might be. So If I'm talking out of my arse I'd appreciate it if someone could shed light on it and post any suggestions or corrections if necessary.
Here are some suggestions for those that haven't been able to get the BB Web Client working on their SE P910x:
First and foremost it is imperative that you have BB provisioned on your account. That means subscribing to the account through your service carrier. In this instance the account was provisioned through T-MO's BB Enterprise Server w/ unlimited GPRS. BB data packages may vary from carrier to carrier, but the technology and setup works under the same principle.
Install the SE BB Client software on the handset. Also install the SE BB Desktop software (optional). After that register the service through the client software from your phone to get your pin. Once it is installed you should see an "Instant Email" icon that looks like a folder with a red arrow underneath it on your screen's Task bar. What you may have noticed as well is that a "Web Client (Messaging)" was created in your Service Books tab (view SE BB Client software settings profile).
Visit the BB Web Client page and create a profile. It will require your PIN # and IMEI both of which are accessible through the SE BB client software settings located in your phone. Integrate (Manually Add) your exisiting POP3 email accounts to the BB Web Client.
You should receive an activation notification email from the BB Web Client which in turn would have created a "Web Client" email account under the "Messages" tab in your phone.
Caution: The SE BB Instant Email icon should have a solid red arrow underneath it. If the arrow is flashing then that means you don't have a direct connection with the BB Web Client. There should be a written notice if you click on the icon that lets you know what your status is. The settings profile should give you more details on that as well.

My next step in this process is to get it provisioned for a Business Solution. That should be completed sometimes next week. I'm not sure if I can only use one of the modes (Business Solution / Instant Email) at a time. I will look into that. If anyone has experience in that please share it with us.
Note: If this thread includes redundant material please move it to the appropriate thread. If it seems like the information is resourceful and should be "Stickied" as a reference post please do so as well. PM me with further questions/concerns or post it in this thread. From what I've heard thus far the Business Solution should actually be an easy install. I'm scheduled to have it configured this week. In essence if the BB Web Client is working your company should have no issues having the Business Solution up and running. Make sure you have the SE BB Desktop manager on your system as well. There might still be compatibility issues between the BB Enterprise Server software and the P910x handset. You should have version 4.0 Enterprise Server by the way. What are the issues or errors are you getting specifically?

The BB worked well untill today. So when the instant email starts, it is connecting to BES Blackberry.net GPRS. then the red arrow just blinking and the status says APN connected.

There was a Nationwide issue with T-Mo data plans. So GPRS was non-functioning or intermittent for some. I believe the issue has been rectified.

@s40convert
I think it's only T-Mobile that have released the software as yet.

T-Mo is the only provider that had released a client software for the P910x so far.
As far as the BB APN working for regular internet browsing, that is not possible. However, if you set your Internet account to point to your current GPRS provider as the preferred account all you have to do is "pause" the BB service and your browser will connect just find. You can resume your BB service by simply clicking "resume". You'll also notice that you won't be able to install software on your unit if BB service is running. I believe it interrupts most forms of communication when running. That's because it is always on.
