the K700 does not have the 850 band but DOES have 1900. cingular runs on 850/1900. Can I use this phone with Cingular? Will my reception be hurt if I don't use a phone that takes advantage of both bands?

Does anyone use the K700i on Cingular?

you can use the phone. In most areas the 850 band is overlayed with the 1900. Your reception will take a hit though, My T616 got better reception than my friend's T610. Its all a matter of the coverage is in your area.

you would be better off using your the k700i with t-mobile. i found that i did a lot of internet surfing and downloaded a lot of content to my phone from the internet. and t-mobile USA only pay $5.00 for unlimited data.

i just purchased my k700i, and use cingular. i've been recieving better signal everywhere i go so far. granted my area uses SE and kyocera parts for their cell phone recievers and antennas..that might have something to do with it.
