> What to do when it all goes wrong!

I still havent got my phone yet (k700) but ive seen reviews of peoples phones not being able to text,make calls and receive calls. They have taken it back, but they have done nothing about it.
So if anything goes wrong with my phone, or anybody elses, what is the best thing to do!?

depends where you get it from. instead of breaking it more i would take it back and ask for a refund or take it to an se centre.

ill be either getting it from orange.co.uk or currys(u.k) and i have no idea where the nearest sony ericsson centre is. checked everywhere. Can some1 tell me where the nearest centre is? i live in nottingham-england

Glenn, Mastercare, part of DSG as are currys are an authorised SE service centre. They are based in nottingham.

You are so right!
I got my K700i when it first hit the shelves here in Norway.
I was very happy with it!
Used it for a while before i gave it to my wife.
She was very happy with it! (She was reluctant to give it up for the S700 I gave her later on)
Lent it out to mates to try it out.
All very happy with it! (7 out of 8 ended up getting their own K700)
Had it as a spare and lent it out to colegues who'd forgotten their phone at home. (Most of them has got K700s' with no problems)

The minority who complain about their K700s' are eigther very picky, looking for things to complain about or just plain unlucky.
I've had just about every /// and
that has been on the market and naver har problems worth mentioning. If there has been something wrong with a phone I've taken it back to the shop and had it sorted out ith a SW upgrade. One phone had to be swopped for a new one and that was no problem at all.
I believe that some of those who complain about the shop being aquard are actually aquard themselves. If you come in to a shop shouthg and screaming, demanding a new phone straight away and give the guys a hard time they will not be interested in offering the same service as if you ask them for their oppinion and help to sort out a problem in reasonable manner.
Buy yourself a K700 if you fancy one.
It wouldn't have been so popular if everyone had problems with it.

Sorry but I simply can't agree with that!
In the UK at least, we've not only had the HUGE issue of the K700 being totally incompatable with a certain network, but there's also been lots and lots of reports of K700's suddenly malfunctioning in a number of different ways and on a frightneningly regularly basis.
The phone is a bag of s**t, for want of a better term. It was clearly rushed out to the UK market with little testing and to say that people over here who buy / have bought it are 'picky' or 'plain unlucky' is not only untrue but rather insulting to say the least.

yeh but a mastercare (or summin) is there so even if lots of uk phones are in a bag that contains something that is brown and smells bad, i can get it sorted out.

Not within the first couple of months, anyway!
It's just that I do think there is (or at least) cause for concern regarding the K700's reliability in the UK. Maybe the latest batches have addressed these problems, but I still keep hearing of people having a bit of a nightmare with them
