Just got this from the UK arm of

The P800 is due for release at the end of Oct to beginning of November this year (2002) no retail price has been fixed yet but I would expect it to be around £249.00 with a new connection. This is just a guide please treat it as such.
The product has been delayed four more weeks now we have decided to include Memory stick and some new features.

Not to troll on your post but exactly who emailed you this information? can u post the email address which you contacted to get this reply so that others can confirm it? lots of people seem to get emails from SE saying this or that but never seem to produce proof, I was just hoping you could (or actualy couldnt so i can keep dreaming the P800 will come out by the end of august). It just seems the whole delay because of MS thing is pretty bogus considering when the announced the MS they also announced a Q3 release date. They would have said it was pushed back at the same time.
in any case please post that email address so our worst fears can be confirmed thnx

are trying to make customers eager to get it so when the phone actually hits the shelves it will probably be more expensive but the people anxiuos to get will not care as they would have waited for a long time!!!! GOOD MARKETING
