But, to answer your question, yes there are firmware updates available for the p800 (assuming you have the first firmware) but you cannot update it yourself (short of flashing it with a tornado cable). You'd best be going to a SE service center...
Speaking of which, I need a p800 firmware update too...

Don't think there has any new firmware releses for over a year for the p800. Had mine flashed last saturday with the latest firmware and thats the same thats mentioned on this site as the newest one...
