> replacement volume slider for t39

hello,
does anyone know the part number and/or where to get a replacement plastic volume slider for the upper left side of a t39? Sony says I have to send the phone to them and 100$USD to snap this tiny piece of plastic on????
If this part is not easily available I can't imagine buying another se phone of this design.
It makes SMS and using the phone pretty bad.

normally they would replace it for free but now it sony ericsson and sony does not like giving something for free.

I am SONY, and we do send many things for free (I am with spare parts, so I can tell) But the SONY-ERICSSON agreement states that you can only order parts when you are an authorised SONY-ERICSSON service center. I work from Belgium, where 1 of the four warehouses is stationed, but we don't have the parts yet.
