Ihave two different IEMI numbers shown in my handset.
I checked the IMEI number on my handset, the handset box and by dialling *#06#. The IMEI number was the same in all 3 cases.
But he IMEI number shown by the applications is different than the IMEI displayed on my handset. all the applications display the same IEMI number.

How this problem could be solved.....PLz Help

Since the box and the pressing of the code displays the same number, i think there must be something wrong with that application itself. This message was posted from a T230

I had this issue with my new p910i on Orange after recieving a replacement handset. The IMEI shown using *#06#. is differant to the one shown in Sman.
When registering Magic Profiles Pro I had to use the one in Sman, as confirmed by their support guys, this is an issue with newer firmware.

This is a known problem with the P910. Check this out, its from the WhiteCloud Software website, it is meant for people wanting to insall the Spectrum Emulator.

"Sony Ericsson in their infinite wisdom have chosen to change the way that applications can access the phone IMEI number in later versions of the P910 firmware. Instead of seeing the real IMEI number, 3rd party applications such as Spectrian see a longer number starting with '14'. Worse still, this number apparently changes occasionally, meaning that any applications using this number to validate a registration code will stop working. We can only hope that SE will fix this problem, but in the meantime we will issue registration codes for these non-IMEI numbers. If the reg code stops working you will need to email us to obtain a new one."
