> Help on choosing new phone, P900 or K700i?
Bookmark topic
Hi guys!
Well, long time no post (eversince i got my phone stolen). I've been investing a lot for buying a new phone and luckily, I now have the money! whew... FINALLY!
But, of course, guys, I need your help with this! Well, I know that the K750 and other phones are about to release. But I'll be buying already at the end of March. So my only option is to either buy a P900 or my by a phone ive already used before, the K700i.
I am aware of all the features and stuff... but i'm not sure if i've got all the specs of the P900 and im problematized by one thing... FMA Compatibility. I have documented a lot of SMS archives using my T610. I found it possible to copying the sms archive of my T610 by copying the SMSARCHIVE.dat file to the folder of the K700i profile. Surely my K700i got some weird acts after connecting with FMA but I was able to bare it.
As for the P900... i am interested in being able to use a symbian phone, especially it's a PDA-enabled... but i am not sure if it's compatible with FMA and if I could do the same copying of SMS Archives. I need info about this...
And lastly, speaker clarity... I am not sure of the P900's speaker coz' I really havent had tested a unit yet. Hope you guys could help me out. Would really appreciate it! TIA!

First off, they're both very different phones. It's like asking someone's opinion on whether to get a sports car or a van without them telling you anything.
Only you can decide between these phones.

id say go for the P900. it has more features, external storage and is a very very nice phone. Audio and video capabilities are far better than the P800. The speaker on the P900 is very loud and clear. im listenin to candy shop right now and it sounds awsome

Not to confuse you further, just understand the basic difference of these phones.
The K700i is intended as an everyday, "little-bit-of-everything" kind of phone. It has a good VGA camera, plays mp3, videos, 3d java games, supports html lite and wap, and has very limited business features.
The P900 is a smartphone and is aimed more to business type individuals. It supports java apps (and games) and supports many business applications. It has lots of utilities that could almost rival a full-pledged PDA.
Between the two the K700i is lighter, smaller, and the camera is better, but the P900 is more flexible and the memory is expandable.
The choice really depends on what you really need in a phone.

AFAIK, FMA doesn't work with P series yet. Check for updates on this issue in FMA website and see the "Tested Devices" section.
