LETS GET THIS OVER WITH. This is the only thing left worrying me about buying my k700. If i get a nice answer to this, all my problems are sorted!
Situation : from the link, i am buying a k700i orange branded. I want the latest firmware, and the new latest firmware, when another FW comes out. What is the quickest, easiest , less-software downloading way to do it? Please get this final worry off my chest!
thanks in advance :S

service centre is the easiest and cheapest as you dont have to buy a dss-25

CPW is one of them...

outsourced them to agents like CPW.
However, when u get a DSS-25, u don't need to go to a service centre, just go to the

support page for ur mobile and use the online update service.
It is not guaranteed that u will be able to update a branded phone unless Orange has updated the frimware recently.
One way is to debrand your fone and then use the

service, however this is not absolutely necessary, its just an option!

is it expensive to de-brand a phone? i heard you can unlock your phone on my local market for about £10. is it a wise move to unbrand it on the market?

It is easy to debrand ur fone, and yes it should cost around £10 to debrand and unlock it to other networks.
Go to
http://www.setool.net and read up on there.
Its always good to have an unbranded/unlocked fone but it does void the warranty once u do that.
