I have a unlocked P910. I used to be with T-Mobile but recently I switched to Cingular because their coverage is better in my region.

Anyways, I tried to have the WAP and MMS settings needed for Cingular send to my phone thru the tool on sonyeriscsson.com .
But I never received the messages at my phone. I tried multiple times and different days. What's up with this?
I ended up inserting a prepaid german vodafone sim (which I got on a trip to germany recently). I tried to send the setup file to the german sim cards number, which I never thought would work ... but it did work!
So is Cingular blocking setup files sent from sonyericsson.com or what is going on?

i think i had to do it two or three times but i got it to work with grps/wap and mms i live in chicago illinois so maybe it is just your region or you put in the phone # wrong, wrong country code ???

There's no reason why cingular should block settings from SE. Might have been a temporary error. This message was posted from a T230

That's my only explantion, but I've been trying since 3 days.
When I put in the german SIM card the SMS with the setting came right thru. I'm 100% sure I put the phone # in right.
