History Of Jordan Team

2005 Team taken over by Midland Group in January. Continue to compete under Jordan name and with Toyota power.

2004 Third driver Timo Glock makes an unexpected Grand Prix debut in Canada after Giorgio Pantano withdraws. Glock returns to race seat for China after Pantano's contract is terminated. Robert Doornbos drafted in to take over as third driver. Difficult season, but announcement of Toyota power for 2005 boosts team's hopes for future.

2003 Giancarlo Fisichella eventually awarded victory in the red-flagged Brazilian Grand Prix after a timing mix-up, but team score only three more points. Test driver Zsolt Baumgartner stands in for injured Ralph Firman in Hungary and Italy.

2002 Jordan finishes sixth in the Constructors' Championship with only nine points. The team narrowly avoids collapse due to a mid-season financial crisis.

2001 Jordan finishes fifth in the Constructors' Championship with 19 points. Dispute between the team and Heinz-Harald Frentzen sees the German replaced by Jean Alesi mid-season.

2000 Jordan finishes sixth in the Constructors' Championship.

1999 Jordan's best season to date, two victories for Heinz-Harald Frentzen putting the team third in the Constructors' Championship - behind Ferrari and McLaren, but ahead of Williams.

1998 The team switches to Mugen-Honda engines. After a slow start to the season, Jordan claims a one-two victory at the Belgian Grand Prix.

1995 The team switches to Peugeot engines.

1991 Jordan scores its first Championship points, Andrea de Cesaris taking fourth place at the Canadian Grand Prix.

1990 Jordan's Formula One team is formed.

1996 Wins the Formula Asia championship with a host of records. Becomes the only Indian and only Asian to win the Formula Asia International series.

1995 Four races in the Formula Asia series, taking a second place at Shah Alam in Malaysia.

1994 Formula Ford – becomes the first Indian to win the British Formula Ford Winter series and takes a podium at the Portuguese Grand Prix support race at Estoril.

1993 Competes in Formula Maruti and Formula Vauxhall Junior championship.

1992 Graduates from ELF Winfield Racing School in France. Wins debut race in Pilote Elf Competition for Formula Renault.

My Views This Year Formula One 2005 :

This year F1 is not going to be so facinating as the rules and regulations are not really applicable to all the drivers and it surely makes the enjoyment in the sport less

Though lets see how does all the driver this year reply to M Schumacher. Giancarlo Fisichella did proved in australian grand prix that micheal is betable. This year F1 is not so intresting but i hope the action between drivers make it so
