Which would you prefer?

SE W800

-38MB internal + Memory Stick Duo (come with 512MB and 2GB max)
-2-megapixel camera
-262k color screen, 176x220 resolution
-supports MP3/MPEG4 (dunno if it can support other formats)
-FM radio
-100mm x 46mm x 20.5mm (3.9" x 1.8" x .8")
-100g

Samnsung SGH-i300

-integrated 3GBhard drive
-TransFlash format for memory expansion (on top of 3GB!!!)
-1.3-megapixel camera (possible 2 mp when release)
- 262K QVGA screen with the resolution of 320x240 pixels
-a rotational wheel instead of a joystick (ipod like)
-support for MPEG4, H.263 and H.264 video formats, as well as MP3, AAC, AAC+ and Ogg Vorbis format. (dunno about FM radio)
-stereo Bluetooth-earphones
-Windows Mobile OS
-USB2.0

The Samsung is nicely specced!

However, Samsung has made an habbit in announcing a lot of phones and releasing only half of them...

I'm not too fond on the design, it is quite fat, weighs 130g, and I'm not sure it will be released any time soon...

i think its hard to decide without knowing pricing, sound quality etc.
based on the specs alone the samsung is appealling if i was after a walkman phone as the 3gb would do me meaning not having to buy a memory card.
but i would have to try both and see what they cost before i could pick one over the other

But I'd like to say that I'd go for W800, not only for the Camera, but also for the functionality, I mean to me SE has the best options I have ever had on a phone, such as the amount of options you can do with things, and also, I must admit, the Windows is good, but still the Samsung looks very fat, which I would not like sticking out of my pocket!

Anyway, the W800 is slimmer, has better looks, (IMO), and I think that 2gig restrictions isn't true as in the press release, they talk about how when the 32GB card comes out you can have more memory than most peoples iPods on your W800.

So I'd still go for the W800, and there are also a whole host of other little nags,such as build quality etc.

Just my two cents!

Yes, W800 can possibly expand beyond 2GB. I am just worry about the price.

Looks: i300 is so ... T610. So I guess its so "last season." But some ppl prefer the professional look similar to K750. IMHO, I would like to see more colors with W800.

The Samsung i300 is just (almost) the ultimate phone in my opinion. (It only lacks WIFI) A smartphone (Windows Mobile 2005!!) with a 3GB hard disk in such a small shell. I mean, the W800 is even half a mm thicker

But I do prefer the looks of the W800, but that's the only thing that its got over the i300 (I don't care much about camera's above 1mp)
